As I sit back and reflect upon my morning, I am so full of pride and amazement. The students of division 6 surpassed our expectations and we truly could not be more proud of their accomplishments.
This morning, the class presented a song at our monthly assembly to kick off the Dogwood Food Drive. The words, Count on me, reverberated throughout the gym sending out the message that the people in our community can count on us this holiday season as we plan to run the most successful food drive at Dogwood.

A big congratulations to Ethan and Naomi, who mustered up a lot of courage and spoke so beautifully in front of the entire school! They stepped out of their comfort zone and delivered a clear, and confident introduction for our presentation. Well done!
After our epic presentation, we worked in teams to bake over 600 cookies for our Cookies for a Can event! Students worked cooperatively, and without complaint. They all pitched in to get the task done.
Cookies will be sold tomorrow at recess for 50 cents or for a non-perishable food item. All donations and proceeds will go to help the Surrey Food Drive this holiday season.

Thank you to our amazing parent volunteers, Mrs. Hayre, Mrs. Harrison and Mrs. Yu who worked so very hard to get all the cookies baked off. It was a lot of work and we could not have done it without you. THANK YOU!
Division 6, you should be so proud of yourselves today. Our class theme of HEROES was really apparent today, as you all sported your invisible capes to become a community hero. We are so proud of your work and efforts. Congratulations, all of you!
For parents who were not able to make the assembly, below is the video we sang along to, which includes some pictures and student art work. Unfortunately due to copy right regulation, I was unable to upload the video to YouTube. The file is attached below. You will have to download it to your device to view it. Thank you.
